Oanh Nguyen Presents 研究 and Wins Best Presentation
Oanh Nguyen (Senior, Psychological Sciences Major) presented a poster at the Southeastern Psychological Association’s conference in Jacksonville for research done in collaboration with Dr. 艾琳Dupuis on the topic of “The Relation Between Attitudes toward Sexual Street Harassment Against Women and Ambivalent Sexism”. Oanh also won the best undergraduate poster presentation award for this research at the March, 2019 Louisiana Academy of Sciences!

加布里埃尔璞琪 ('19), a Psychological Sciences Pre-Med major, was awarded a $1500 summer research grant by Psi气, the 国际 Honors Society in Psychology. Gabby received the award for the proposal, “The Effect of Punishment Sensitivity and Anxiety on the Development of Eating Disorder Behaviors in College Students."

Dr. 凯特Yurgil and her research collaborators were recently featured on the Department of Defense Blast Injury 研究 Program website. Their research examined the relation between tinnitus, 创伤后应激障碍, and Traumatic Brain Injury in a group of United States Marine Veterans.

艾琳Dupuis
Dr. 艾琳Dupuis, Associate Professor in Psychological Sciences, published a chapter in the recently released Sage Encyclopedia of Psychology and Gender. The chapter titled, "Acquaintance Rape" covers definition issues, 患病率, and factors related to victims and perpetrators.
